Ottawa Public Health is pleased to launch National Non-Smoking Week (NNSW). Throughout the week, we will highlight services and programs to support people who want to quit smoking and will celebrate individuals, businesses and organizations who are smoke-free champions! National Non-Smoking Week (NNSW) has been observed for more than 30 years. It is one of the longest running and most important events in Canada’s ongoing public health education efforts. It was established in 1977 by the Canadian Council for Tobacco Control (CCTC) and it aims to:
